Mary Hiteman has been the administrator of the Weekday Early Education Preschool
at FBC since 1982.
She attended the University of New Mexico and PSCE (Presbyterian School of
Christian Education). Ms. Hiteman brings 25 years of experience with young children
and families to this ministry.
The Weekday Preschool is one of FBC’s outreach ministries and serves as not
only a developmentally appropriate educational program but offers many other
opportunities for young families. These include:
- Yearly home visits
- Parent workshops
- Pastoral care
- Community based mission projects
- Weekly chapel services
- Monthly news letter
- Referrals to appropriate community resources for children
- Special Pre-K program for that important year before a child enters
kindergarten
- Summer Solution camp each June
