Billy Burford has served as the Administrator for FBC since 1997.
Billy's primary responsibility is the management of the day-to-day operations
of First Baptist Church so that the mission of the church maybe fulfilled efficiently
and effectively within an environment of positive Christian relationships and
mutual understanding.
Elements of the administrator's role include:
- Direct the Building Support Ministry Team
- Direct the Food Service Ministry Team
- Direct the work of the Ministry Support Team
- Direct the Finance Office Operations
- Personnel Administration
- Safety and Security Officer for the church
Rev. Burford is a native of Houston, Texas and a graduate of Texas A& M University
with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. After working ten years in
Industrial Management, he attended Southwestern Theological Seminary where he
received a Master of Arts degree in Religious Education. He has served churches
in Arkansas and Texas as Minister of Education and Administration.
In 1992, the National Association of Church Business Administration certified
him as a Church Business Administrator.
Billy and his wife Beverly have one son, Jeremy, who is married to Susanne
and they have three sons – Collin, Ian, and Dylan.
