Becoming a member of Richmond's First Baptist Church
The people of Richmond’s First Baptist Church invite you to
commit your life to Christ as His disciple and to join our congregation as a
member.
We receive members
1) upon profession of faith in Christ followed by believer’s
baptism;
2) by transfer of membership from another Christian church; or
3) by statement of previous Christian experience.
The process begins when you request membership (which you
can do simply by coming forward at the conclusion of one of the worship
services) and continues with a conversation with one of our pastors, the
completion of all four Connections classes, and a vote at one of our regular
business meetings.
The Connections class meets in Room 243 Sunday mornings at
9:45. New members or those simply interested in learning more are encouraged
to attend.
If you want to further explore church membership, we invite you
to speak with one of our
ministers.
