South/Central America
Curitiba, Brazil: We have our official partnership with the Vila Guiara
Baptist Church. This relationship began in the year 2000 and has the potential
to extend into other parts of South America. Teams work with
the church in community outreach, witness in local schools and in community
settings, and assist the church in program and ministry development.
Honduras: This partnership began in the year 2000 as a medical outreach
to the Chorti and other people groups in Honduras. Since that time, we have
added working with children as well. African Partners
South Africa: A relatively new partnership which began in 2006, we
currently work with new church planters in community ministry and development.
We also assist in sponsoring a full-time church planter.
World Vision: Currently under formation. We will
work with World Vision in child sponsorship, community development, and HIV/AIDS
ministry.

Y.M.C.A. of Xi’an, in which we host a basketball camp with young men and women.

North American Partners
Camp Alkulana: We assist this camp for inner city kids, located in
Millboro Springs, VA in a variety of ways including annual clean up days prior
to beginning of camp, special construction projects throughout the year and
through other avenues of support.
Helena, Arkansas: In partnership with on-site
“missionaries” Ben and Leonora Newell, we connected with this area of the
Mississippi Delta in 2002. We have taken three teams to the region to assist in
a variety of projects.
Brooklyn Park, Minnesota: In partnership with the
Rev. Francis Tabla and the Ebenezer Baptist Church, we have helped form and
watch this church grow since 2001. Its members are comprised mainly of Liberian
immigrants and they are currently in process of building their own church
building.
Disaster Response Teams: Beginning with Hurricane
Katrina, FBC has formed a variety of disaster relief teams to respond to
projects involving clean-up, feeding, reconstruction, and redevelopment.
A Final Word….of course!
Partnership missions not only links churches together, it links people.
No longer are mission trips 1-2 week experiences, now they become lifetime
relationships because the goal of these trips is more than construction or
teaching, they now become about building friendships and bridges between
people. We become ambassadors for Christ to one another, so we pray for
each other, we maintain contact and we keep up with what is going on in
one another’s lives. We become friends and know that together, along with
the power of Christ, we can truly change the world.
