A checklist of things you don’t want to forget
Thoughts On What and How to Pack
When packing for a mission trip, there are a few things to keep in mind.
Each person is generally allowed to have two checked and one carry-on pieces of
luggage. Maximum weight for each piece is 70 lbs. Pack light. Roll your
clothes. Leave room for souvenirs. Use luggage with wheels. Leave jewelry and
other valuables at home. Take one form of picture I.D., one charge card, and an
A.T.M. card and leave rest at home. Take dark, versatile, hard to wrinkle
clothing. Do not pack wrapped packages and do not lock your bags.

□ Insurance and Medical Alert Cards

In Your Check-In...

□ Clothing For All Occasions (dress, hiking, casual, work)
□ Extra Glasses/Contact

□ Plastic Bag for Dirty Clothing
□ Extra Batteries
□ Umbrella or Poncho
□ Tote Bag (for Daily Use or To Bring Souvenirs Home)
□ Flip Flops (For Use in Shower)

Additionally...
Also, you may want to share pack with a friend on the trip. For example, you
may wish to bring some of the items above and let your friend bring the rest.
It’s a great space saver. Also, place anything you do not want handled in a clear plastic bag.
Instead of packing a change of clothes in your carry on, put a few items of
clothing in another persons bag and allow them to do the same with you. This
way, if your luggage gets lost, you still have a couple of outfits to wear.
Also, it is a good idea to leave things like hair dryers, irons, walkmans,
cell phones, etc… at home. Have a great trip and may God bless you and your
journey.
Mark your bags with a brightly colored string or tape so they can be easily
identified.
Team Leaders: Carry a small calculator, team travel pack, all team information
and contact numbers, first-aid kit, place for receipts, and copies of each
person’s passport.
