Cofer- Decker-Fellowship Class members, helping those men, all long time
members of First Baptist feel special and remembered by our church.

Jack Pierce and others who volunteer their time and expertise to make
repairs and spruce up Camp Alkulana, a summer camp for Richmond inner
city children.

The Kingdom of Heaven looks like
FBC Cub and Boy Scouts, who spent
the first two Saturdays in November collecting 3000 pounds of food for
the Central Virginia Food Bank in the Fan and Northside. Through the
generosity of those who live in the neighborhoods around our church and
the collection efforts of our scouts, thousands of meals will be served
to those in need.

visiting, praying, listening and loving members of our church who are no
longer able to attend.

When we go to where we are needed and
willingly offer our sweat and expertise to build a community shelter, we
are helping to bring in the Kingdom of God. Building a community shelter
was one of many ways a group from Richmond's First Baptist Church
reached out to the community of Helena, Arkansas during a summer mission
trip in 2008.

The Kingdom of Heaven looks like FBC members
in the live nativity at the Weinachtsmarkt (Christmas Market) in Amberg,
Germany. 2008 will be the seventh year teams have travelled to Amberg at
Christmastime to prayer walk, ring handbells, or do whatever is
necessary to bring the Living Savior to this little Bavarian city.

volunteers going out every Saturday morning to meet homeless folks on
their own "turf" - offering a cup of coffee, conversation, and some of
life's basic necessities. |

The Kingdom of Heaven is like 70 members of First
Baptist Church who travelled to Slovakia last summer and spent a few
days helping to repair an orphanage.

Slovakia every summer to teach English and share the love of Jesus.

The Kingdom of Heaven looks like hundreds of children
in one of the poorest areas of the United States: Helena, Arkansas - who
eagerly participate in sports, swimming and Vacation Bible School led by
volunteers who give a week of their vacation and pay their own expenses
to go and spend time with them. |
