Children's Ministry

Deuteronomy 6:4-7 instructs parents to teach their children to love the Lord with all one’s heart, soul, and strength. Jesus further tells us to love our neighbors as ourselves. To fully support parents and to teach our children to become followers of Jesus, First Baptist Church’s Children’s Ministry (part of the Ministry of Formation) seeks to nurture and guide a child’s heart, head and hands.

HEART
Being and growing in their relationship with God, others and self.

HEAD
Learning the stories of the Bible; growing in knowledge of God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as well as appropriate Bible concepts; and developing Bible skills and the ability to apply Bible truths to real life.

HANDS
Serving others by putting God’s love into action.

Vacation Bible School is now full. Registration is closed. Thank you!

At Maker Fun Factory, kids discover that God made them—and for a purpose! Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, make and devour yummy treats, experience one-of-a-kind Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s love, and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes with the Funshop Finale that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time.

See the Recreation page for information on Upward Stars Basketball Camp happening in the afternoons after VBS!
